Huskisson Business 3(g) Zoned Sites - Community Workshop Presentation held on 6 April 2009

The presentation (5.2Mb PDF**), facilitated by Council's independent Urban Design Consultant, Ruker Urban Design, was presented at a Community Workshop held on 6 April 2009. The workshop was attended by property owners of the following sites [currently zoned Business 3(g) under Council's Shoalhaven LEP 1985]:

Area 1: Area applying to DCP 99, bounded by Duncan, Bowen, Fegen and Nowra Streets;
Area 2: Beach Street (South) applying to area bounded by unformed road reserve of Tapalla Avenue, Beach Street, Jervis Street and an unformed and unnamed lane; and
Area 3: Moona/ Murdoch Streets applying to area bounded by unformed road reserve of Currambene and Moona streets, national park boundary, Murdoch, Burrill and Berry Streets.

Study Area for Business 3(g) Zoned Land at Huskisson

The outcomes of the workshop will facilitate the formulation of urban design strategy and development options for those areas to be incorporated into the review of DCP 99. Note that this project only affects the 3 areas identified above currently zoned Business 3(g). This project is NOT a rezoning exercise, it aims to fill a policy gap so that a set of urban design guidelines and development controls can guide the development of these areas, currently zoned Business 3(g), in Huskisson.

Further community consultation will be undertaken in conjunction with the public exhibition of draft amendments to DCP 99 which will incorporate urban design and development guidelines on all Business 3(g) zoned land in Huskisson.
