A Plan of Management for Plantation Point Reserve Vincentia

Shoalhaven City Council is currently formulating a Plan of Management for the Plantation Point Reserve, Vincentia. The Plan of Management will seek to protect the Reserves values and will provide a framework for ways that the reserve can be best used, conserved, enhanced and managed for the community into the future.

The Plan of Management will provide for the management of the Reserve and provide a framework for future operational and planning decisions for the development of infrastructure within the Reserve. A Plan of Management also provides Council, and other user s of the Reserve a basis for seeking funding applications for identified projects.

Council is therefore seeking community input and involvement in the formulation of the Plan of Management for the Plantation Point Reserve.

You can have your say into the Plantation Point Reserve Plan of Management by filling out this survey and returning it by 17 June 2009. You can mail it to the Shoalhaven City Council, PO Box 42, Nowra 2541 or fax it to 4429 3168. Survey forms will also be available to submit via Council’s Website below.

In Addition Council will also be conducting , two (2) Community Consultation Forums to enable the local community and interested persons a further opportunity to put their views forward with respect to the on-going management of the Plantation Point Reserve. The Community Consultation Forums will provide an opportunity to ensure all members of the community have an opportunity to present their views.

The Forums will be conducted by an independent facilitator and Council staff will be available during and between Forum sessions to further discuss the Plan of Management or any concerns raised.
