These roles provide a high level of support to the Director of the Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Group and the General Managers Office/Assistant General Manager respectively. Both roles require great organisational skills, as well as first class interpersonal skills. You must have a pro-active approach and have the ability to multi-task whilst upholding a professional attitude. The ideal candidates will have senior level administrative experience in a busy and confidential work environment.

Casual Attendant Leisure Centre (Learn to Swim) – Northern / Central / Southern Leisure Centres
• Salary: $22.56 per hour to $25.39 per hour (Grade 3, Band 1, Level 2)

Council is seeking suitably qualified applicants to deliver first class customer service to the community in an aquatic environment within our three Leisure Centres. We are looking for individuals to provide Learn to Swim classes to fully develop the participant’s level of water safety and swimming ability and also to provide lifeguard services. Essential to this position is a current Senior First Aid Certificate, current AustSwim Certificate – Teacher of Water Safety and a current RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Licence.

Electrical / Instrument Technician
Salary: $943.10 to $1056.40 p.a., plus super – includes
allowances (Grade 11, Band 2, Level 2)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the permanent/full time position of Process Control Technician (Electrical/Instrument Technician). Duties include:
• Completing projects of varying complexity including a diverse range of
instrumentation including level and flow, chemical dosing, telemetry and
SCADA systems
• Maintenance and repair of process control equipment
• Work locations include Council’s water & wastewater treatment plants and
pumping stations, reservoirs and communication sites.

Trainee Maintenance Officer (Aboriginal)
• Salary: $412.90 to $690.00 p.w. plus superannuation (Grade T2 – T6)

Council is looking for a motivated candidate, keen to gain a qualification by taking up a traineeship in the construction field. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the Works Team Leader of the Holiday Haven Tourist Parks to assist in construction and maintenance at the Holiday Haven Tourist parks across the Shoalhaven, whilst studying to achieve a Certificate III in Civil Construction.
Trainees will be required to learn and perform a range of duties in an outdoor environment which will include labouring and manual handling duties such as construction, demolition, concreting, grounds development and erection of pre-fabricated items.
Note: This is a full-time trainee position for 2 years. Aboriginals are eligible for this position as authorised by Shoalhaven City Council’s EEO Management Plan and Aboriginal Employment Strategy in accordance with Part 9A of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
