Shoalhaven City Council has two positions available representing an
excellent opportunity to compliment your civil or environmental engineering
studies and vocational experience across a broad range of engineering
fields.
The successful candidates will work in traffic engineering, construction
management and land subdivision. This will allow you to gain a broad
understanding of each sector in order to see where your interests and
strengths lie.
One position requires successful completion of 2nd year studies and one position requires successful completion of 3rd year studies.

If you possess excellent customer service skills together with the ability to communicate effectively, a position is available within Council’s Counter Services Unit. Clerical and cashiering duties including the use of computers and office equipment are a component of this position.

This is a great opportunity for a senior level Civil Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary group responsible for the delivery of Maintenance and Building Programs to the City of Shoalhaven. The diversity of the Shoalhaven provides opportunities to experience a wide range of infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will also include supporting Council’s role in bushfire and local emergency management. Salary component will be based on experience but will be in a range of $84 000 - $94,000 per annum.
Applicants for the position of Asset Maintenance Manager may also be considered for future engineering opportunities arising within the next six months. These opportunities will have a salary component of $72,000 to $80,500 per annum.

A Full-Time permanent position exists with Council’s Strategic Planning
Group. This position assists in developing and maintaining Council’s
Geographical Information System (GIS) and undertaking Computer Aided
Drafting (CAD) which requires a high level of competency and accuracy. Good
organisational skills are essential so that work is completed in a timely
manner. Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a field covering
preparation and/or presentation of town planning mapping are required.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for the position of Shoalcom Supervisor within the Communications section of Council. This rewarding hands-on position is responsible for managing a small team involved in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment including Mobile radio and radio networks, CCTV and security alarm systems, data cabling, and vehicle installations. The work is situated over the whole Shoalhaven City Council region. The successful applicant will be required to consult with internal and external customers, direct work to contractors, provide quotations, monitor and control budgets and train staff.
